Seven simple steps for perfect planting

1. Root hydration

The root of a rose seedling should be placed in water and left for at least 30 minutes before planting. Ideally, it should be left in water for 2-3 hours.

Remove weeds and stones from the ground.

3. Dig a hole

The hole should be approximately 40 cm wide and 60 cm deep.

Position the rose in the centre of the hole. Place a stick horizontally across the top of the hole to better judge the planting depth. The graft union (junction between root and stem) should be 5 cm below the stick.

Backfill the rose seedling with the soil you dug earlier.

Lightly firm the soil around the rose with your foot.
